From Dartford to Stardom: The Making of a TV Icon
Laura Hamilton’s journey to success began in the humble town of Dartford, Kent.
Laura turned down a university offer to study law and psychology, choosing instead to dive headfirst into the world of television. She started as a runner for Dermot O’Leary at Channel 4 and quickly climbed the ranks, working on productions like Top of the Pops, The Buckingham Palace Jubilee Celebrations, and Big Brother.
Lighting Up Screens: Laura’s Stellar Television Career
Laura Hamilton is a familiar face to millions, thanks to her successful career in television and film.
Laura’s first on-screen role was as ‘Melody’ in the popular pre-school show Fun Song Factory. She then became the female face of kids’ TV channel Nickelodeon. Laura’s career took a thrilling turn when she participated in series six of Dancing on Ice in 2011, finishing in second place. Since February 2012, she has been a presenter of Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun. In 2022, she joined ITV’s This Morning, presenting live features on location.
Beyond the Camera: Laura’s Personal Life and Passions
Laura Hamilton is not just a TV presenter and property expert; she’s also a passionate traveller, property developer, fitness enthusiast and dedicated mother.
Laura lives in Surrey and has been developing properties since the age of 19. A keen skier and snowboarder, she also enjoys travelling and going to the theatre. She has visited many countries around the world including India, Cuba, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, Fiji, Iceland, and parts of America. As well as being a qualified postmistress, Laura is currently a pilot in training!
Laura is a proud mother of two children, a son named Rocco and a daughter named Tahlia.

Laura is an ambassador for the charities WellChild and the Children’s Trust, Tadworth. She uses her platform to raise awareness and support for these organizations, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community.
Building Success: Laura’s Ventures in Property and Business
Laura Hamilton’s talents extend beyond the television screen. She’s also a passionate property developer and entrepreneur.
Laura discovered her passion for property early on. She renovated her first flat at the age of 19 and has since developed 16 properties. This passion led her to her first commercial venture in 2017, ‘Lord Roberts on The Green.’ Laura rescued her local village shop, qualified as the local Post Mistress, set up the coffee shop and bistro ‘Lord Roberts on The Green,’ recruited 24 staff, and built the brand. She became a landlady, obtained an alcohol license for the premises, and created a local gem in her community. Laura has sold ‘Lord Roberts on The Green’ in 2022, marking another successful chapter in her entrepreneurial journey. In 2023 Laura became a director of Verity and Me to build a new fashion brand.
